I've finally got through making video demos of mobile casino games. It's why I've been a bit quiet on here. There was a bit more to it that I anticipated.

I've just now finished testing all of the iPad Mini casino games from the leading providers, and I'm pleased to announce they all work perfectly.
It was always assumed that the current games available for the 3 full sized iPads would work. An unofficial Apple technical spokesperson assured me that "If it currently works on iPad, then it will work on iPad Mini".
All very well from a technical stand point, but what would they actually look like? It does after all have a smaller screen. Though not likely to make a significant impact, I had to be sure. If only so I could use the same game screen shots on the iPad Mini Casino guide on ipadcasinogames.net
So I tested all of the iPad casino games developed by Microgaming, Playtech, Probability and Intouch on my iPad Mini.

32 iPad Mini casino games will be available at launch of the tablet. By that I mean that the iPad is "mini", not that the casino games are "mini".
The new device from Apple is 7.87 inches tall and 5.3 inches wide. It weights just 0.68 punds (308g) for the wi-fi only version. The wi-fi & cellular version weighs in at 0.69 punds (312g).
It's the screen that I'm most interested in. It's the screen stats that determine whether the current iPad casino games available will work on the iPad Mini at launch.
The screen is a 7.9-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit Multi-Touch display with IPS technology. It has 1024x768 resolution at 163 pixels per inch (ppi) and has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
All of this means that the majority of current casino games for the larger iPad will scale perfectly on the new device.
I'll be testing each of the games on November 2nd, and will provide a complete list later that day.

I'm speculating, but I imagine that LadyLucks would be keen to see themselves in a position to withdraw mobile billing entirely. In a move that's sure to impact on Android Mobile Casinos, Adobe have removed their Mobile Flash Player from Google Play, following their announcement to halt development of the software for mobile devices.
Android Mobile Casinos can continue to provide their games using Flash for a year, as Adobe stated it would continue to offer security updates and bug fixes for existing versions until September 2013.
Adobe said it was removing the option to install the plug-in because it was likely to exhibit "unpredictable behaviour" when used with the latest version of Android, known as Jelly Bean.
It also suggested that smartphone / tablet owners who had upgraded to the latest system should uninstall the Flash Player if it was already on their device.
I suspect that many of the Android mobile casinos will already have their development teams working on the two alternatives. Direct downloads of individual games, Web apps using html5, or the newer Android 'Air' platform, also available from the Google Play and also developed by Adobe.
Air is a tool which lets developers turn web-based applications using Flash into standalone mobile apps. The best example of which is the AllSlots Android Air Casino for later Android devices. Click here.
When Adobe announced its decision to end development of the mobile Flash Player it acknowledged that HTML 5 had become "the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms" and said it would boost its investment in the format.

Microgaming, a provider of "Real Money" iPad casino games to many iPad Casino Operators, has retired a number of iPad casino games from their portfolio.
Two Instant Win games, a Virtual Horse Racing game and two Progressive Jackpot Slots have not been rolled out on their new HD html5 iPad Casino Platform that is used by a number of iPad Casinos including AllSlots and JackPotCity.
In the case of Mega Moolah, one of their most popular Progressive Jackpot Slots game on iPad, it's a temporary retirement. I've been assured that it will be made available for iPad players in the near future. September or October 2012 seems to be the target.
The other iPad games currently retired are:
- Major Millions Progressive Jackpot Slots.
- Royal Derby Virtual Horse Racing.
- Dragons Fortune Instant Win game.
- Bingo Bonanza Instant Win game.
Whether any of these will return in the future is unclear.

I've always been a bit peed off with the Mobile Casinos that required me to add each of their iPhone casino games to my homescreen. I always thought it a bit of a liberty... "I'll put what I want on my homescreen, not what they want."
The mFortune Mobile Casino was the worst of the them. I happily added their main mobile casino icon to homescreen, but everytime I clicked to play one of their iPhone casino games I'd get another annoying pop up message. Great games, but I'd soon get infuriated with them and go and do something else.
Oops. My bad. I get it now. Turns out that mFortune were a little ahead of the game.
Their iPhone casino games use the whole of the iPhone screen. No Safari browser bar taking up space, just full-screen mobile casino game fun. This can ONLy be achieved if the game is launched using the game icon on your iPhone homescreen, which you only need to do once for each game and only for the games you actually want to play.
I'm humbled.
